Chris Bray and his father Kenneth recreated history
Thirty years ago, the first space shuttle Columbia was launched into the space, Chris Bray and his father didn’t wanted to keep that view forever so they took a picture of it as a beautiful memory.
Last Friday, shuttle Atlantis took its final trip and they were present there again, observing the launch, they took a picture that bridged the time gap of 30 years.
“This picture took 30 years to complete.” The father-son duo waited for 3 decades to give a perfect ending to the shuttle launch journey.
The younger Bray told the Washington Post, “We’ve always loved that first photo. Taking a similar one for the last launch seemed like the perfect opportunity to celebrate the shuttle program and our relationship by putting the time passed in perspective, celebrating the interests we share, and illustrating the father/son bond we’ve maintained over the years.”
