The Concept ‘Cartridge Phone’ up in Line
Did you ever want a gadget that could work on more than one operating system simultaneously? Did you ever felt the need of a mobile phone that could run programs, video files, audio files and documents of more than one operating system?
Well if you ask me. I never wanted a gadget like that but software that could support games, programs and other stuff of different operating system and make it compatible for the OS you are using currently on your Smartphone.
Although it is hard to be true Concept but still we have faith and good hope for it.
There have been times when incompatibilities of programs have led to major blunders. You develop software and it becomes dead due to lack of OS compatibility.
HTC Concept Cartridge Phone
The software portability shall not only be within different OSs but with different version of OSs too. Like you develop a program on Windows 7 which is not able to run on Windows XP but with the ‘Concept Software’ the program or file would get converted into a file containing similar information supported by Windows XP.
It would be a lifesaver, seriously.
Coming to the HTC Concept ‘Cartridge Phone’
At HTC’s R&D lab, they have come up a mobile phone that could support more than one operating system.
According to their so-called ‘Concept Design’ the phone would be of great utility who would like to use more than a single operating system on their Smartphone.
The whole mechanism of switching between operating systems works like sliding in and sliding out. You slide in Windows Phone 7 Cartridge and phone begins to work WP7 programs, games and UI while you slide in Android Cartridge, the phone turns to an Android Mobile phone.
If you know how to use a credit card, it would be difficult for you to use the HTC Concept Cartridge phone.
It is utterly a bizarre Concept and it might never become reality but for that we’d have to wait for any further announcements from HTC.
Can HTC Concept Cartridge Phone ever come to life? What are the odds?
Going with the quote, “Impossible itself says I M Possible” anything is possible but we can’t deny the fact that we do have technical as well intellectual barriers that many come between the HTC Concept Cartridge on Paper and the same gadgets in reality.
So, I can’t really comment on the realization of this gadget but we can just enjoy the dream of using more than one OS on phones, to play games, to watch movies and to listen to songs.
