Six to Eight New HTC Smartphones coming in Q3
HTC recently launched 2 new Facebook Smartphone viz. HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa (showing some love to the dance forms) and is indicating to launch six to eight new Smartphones in the next quarter.
HTC sold over 12.11 million units in Q2 this year, which is 25% higher than what they sold in Q1.
Almost all the HTC Smartphones run on Android, and HTC Phones contribute largely in the 48% market share captured by Android.
HTC CEO Peter Chou said that they expect to sell 13.5 million handsets in Q3, also indicates that all the new HTC Smartphones would be mid to high range models with dual core processors and HD graphics, no low range Smartphone coming from HTC’s table.
