SBI and Axis Bank have tied up with Hitachi to produce next-gen ATM machines. These machines would be completely automated and would provide most frequently used features of the bank with much more convenience. Hitachi plans to tie with 8 more banks thus raising their total revenue to 1 Billion Yen from these new HOTS ATMs.
These advances ATMs would give have voice feedback, capacitive touchscreen display and would enable you to perform several bank operations including performing automated deposits, updating passbook, printing facilities, managing FDs, requesting new cheque book and sending money.
Yasuo Sasabe, General Manager, ITC Solutions Business, Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd said,
“These simple self-service functions will help increase branch efficiency tremendously as it frees the branch officials to attend to other works while at the same time it eliminates the need for customers to wait in long queues at their bank branches.”
These Automated Teller Machines would be similar to the ones shown in the new ICICI bank advertisements.
