Samsung officially announced today that their Android Superphones – Samsung Galaxy SII and Galaxy Note would be upgraded to Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with an official update in Q1 2012.
The company is working on customizing ICS for Smartphones and tablets. As of now, they have confirmed above two devices and have indicated that other devices including Galaxy S II LTE, Galaxy R, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 7.7, and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus would get upgraded to ICS later.
Samsung would announce the update separately and would also explain what they have customized in Android v4.0 ICS.
Other Smartphone manufacturers including HTC, LG, Motorola and Sony Ericsson have also confirmed that they are going to upgrade their high-end Superphones to ICS in Q1 next year.
