Multitasking is a widely implemented phenomenon these days, not only in physical work but also while relaxing. A research conducted recently suggested that about 80% Smartphone users do multitasking while watching television on their Smartphone.
If we look around at people in our surrounding, we would find people using their Smartphone for multitasking all the time. They do multitasking by listen to music while reading a novel or book, they tweet or read their friends’ Facebook updates while working and even during studying.
Well, if you do multitasking while working, you must study the research that suggested that multitasking makes people less productive. When you do multitasking, your attention is constantly shifting to & fro between the tasks. - 94% of reported multitaskers use communication tools like exchanging email, sending IMs, texting, talking or social networking while watching TV
- People browse web heavily on their Smartphone while multitasking during their favorite sporting events
