Google Released TeachParentsTech.org to teach Parents about Technology and Basic Computer Tutorials
How many times has this happened to you that your mum and dad calls you from your room to solve some tech related query which for you seems as simple as downloading a file? Don’t you always feel the urge to say to them, Dad please this stuff is real simple… see it’s done.
I am getting a head nod from you… I am assuming it. Well, it has happened a lot of time to me that my dad calls me to set up his email, change fonts, get layouts corrected and even send his files to the designated person. I always felt there should some basic computer tutorials for everyone.
Computer Tutorials for Parents
Although I don’t feel any sort of inconvenience in helping my dad with this but I think most of us today either don’t have the time to do all this stuff or sometimes don’t have the patience to handle it so… considering in mind this Google has come up with a solution.
TeachParentsTech.org is new step from Google to encourage information technology knowledge to elder people and some middle-aged people too… even kids can use it.
This technology website helps your parents to get video tutorials that solve any problem that they might face while performing simple day-to-day tasks on computer that includes shutting down and also copying files and similar basic computer tutorials.
This technology for parents can also serve a basic computer course for even those who have just started to work with a computer system.
What is in it for Teachers?
Hmm… well this is my favorite topic :D Although I know that most teachers these days are really good with computers and they know it all but I am talking about those few who don’t.
You know sometime the hesitancy factor plays a role and people don’t ask what they really want to know; in that case they can just go to TeachParentsTech.org browser technology for parents section and get basic computer tutorials immediately in not text but A/V format.
It is definitely a very good step; I hope I don’t see Google placing ads on it. LOL

google has opened a nice place for non-techies to learn basics of internet and computers.
Can a parent not play their own teaching videos and why do they have to receive them from their children instead of directley?

it works for both, actually these are video based tutorials for both mac and PC
