Google disables Realtime Search to incorporate Google+
Google has shut down their Realtime search features that lets users search updates about a particular topic from their social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter, Friendfeed etc. in order to incorporate their newly launched Google+ social network results into Realtime search results.
One of the developers at Google tweeted about this stuff.
I think Google is trying to promote Google+ social network to people who use Google Realtime search.
I have recently joined Google+ and except for the circles that lets you categorize your list, there is nothing new. Facebook is much better because I have loads of friends already on it. It’s like buying a new SIM, the SIM maybe better but you won’t leave your old SIM because of contacts.
Google plans to enrich Google Realtime Search result with updates from Google+ and several other social networks, you know them all.
Google+ currently has ‘invite only’ registrations which means that you need an invite to join. It is a small project but if a good number of people join it, Google may make it permanent.
We’d have to wait for sometime, these sort of things don’t happen overnight, do they?
