BlackBerry reveals Playbook – ipad’s competitor

Apple ipad may be the best tablet pc you have ever used but this should be a pre-conceived notion when it comes to the biggest players of IT world, yes i am talking about BlackBerry, Dell and Samsung. The last one may surprise you a bit, but Samsung Galaxy Series and to be precise Samsung Galaxy Tab is truly on a roll at this moment.

While for me personally, a tablet pc is more of use in blogging, some people might use it for anything they want — gaming for one. Apple ipad is undoubtedly the first and so far in best 5 tablets in computing world.

Now the big question that arises about BlackBerry Playbook in my mind is whether it would be able to survive in the market, since most of the leading brands like Dell, HP and many others are also preparing their bet for this niche, it would be quite a ferocious war! would it be beneficial to the consumers, hopefully YES!

The second major question is — which one is good and why? BlackBerry Playbook hasn’t released it’s launch date or much of specifications but we did got a few of the specs for Wizard Journal readers and here they are… BB Playbook specifications are impressive.

• 7″ Screen Size
• 1024×600 Screen Resolution
• 170 Pixel Density — Dell Streak has 187 and ipad has 137
• BB Tablet OS — primary software
• 1GHz dual-core processor which means whopping speed on the move
• 3MP front and 5MP Rear (futile) camera
• Wi-Fi, 3G and probably 4G enabled

Quite impressive stats i must, the best part is dual-core processor, amazing right! I hope BlackBerry offers some good applications to it’s consumers along with games like Apple iPad does with it’s iStore.

Yeah! i almost forgot about the question, which one is the best? I feel both Android OS Samsung Galaxy Tab and iOS4 running Apple iPad are a great pick, you can choose any at the moment and in my opinion they lead the tablet pc category.

I am expecting a lot from Dell Streak, i hope it ain’t very obvious! Blackberry playbook‘s price is unconfirmed at the moment.
