New iPhone Apps’ download on Apple Store doubled on Christmas
Christmas has passed but the Christmas fever would stay with us all through the next year. Although I am not talking about my celebrations on Christmas day over here in this entry but about the happiness that the day brought to hundreds of developers who work day and night to produce high quality iPhone applications.
For Apple and Apple iPhone apps developers Christmas brought a lot of gifts in the form of revenue. On the day of Christmas Eve and Christmas itself, some of the iPhone applications’ downloads jumped twice and thrice in some cases.
Since yesterday, many iPhone apps developers are tweeting about new iPhone apps whose downloads increased rapidly on above two mentioned days. I am quite happy because developers do spend their whole heart into coding a game or application for any device, not particularly an iPhone. Check out some BlackBerry Apps.
Research about iPhone applications on Christmas
A market analysis company conducted research on the same and found out that Apple is not getting the profits all by itself but sharing it with Facebook too. Not directly but by the Facebook Android app that was introduced a few days before.
MixPanel came to this conclusion that on 24th and 25th of December nearly 2 x Facebook Android Application were downloaded from the Android Market. It was really great news for all those who work for Facebook team and live by this quote, “Go big or Go Home”. 
Alright, there were some iPhone apps like Tap Tap Revenge 4 which also gained a lot of attention on Apple Store thus getting 2 x traffic + a similar increase in downloads.
Clearly, a lot of people have bought new iPhone for themselves or their friends on Christmas. Apple is expecting to see a lot of traffic and revenue spike for its new iPhone applications on Jan 1 – The New Year.
