Android Overpowers Symbian
If you are a person who is using an old Nokia Smartphone and doesn’t agree that Android is a much powerful operating system when compared Symbian then there is a good news, for the Android Fans, not for you ;D
Android has beaten Symbian by a mighty 1.9 million sales thus becoming the best operating system for mobile phones in the world.
It may sound a bit odd but Nokia has decided to renovate their operating system. I am not sure what improvements are they expecting from Symbian but for me, personally Android is nice, flexible operating systems.
What do you think Nokia is planning to add in their Symbian so as to make it a competitive operating system in comparison to Android and iOS4?
Only future would unveil whether Nokia’s aspirations to become one of the leading mobile phone brands would turn a reality or not.
A research done by a marketing analysis company called ‘Canalys’ suggested that Symbian sold approx. 31 million mobile phone in the last quarter of 2010 whereas in the same quarter Android sold more than 32.9 million mobile phones which signifies that popularity of Android is rising rapidly.
Although BlackBerry OS and Apple iOS4 are very good operating system but the Google name with Android is like a rocket launcher for the company’s success.
Nokia is very popular in India as well around the globe when it comes to reliability but is their mobile phone OS i.e. Symbian worth standing in the same category as BB OS or Android OS? I don’t think so.
