Acer Iconia Tab A200 & A700 slated to release at CES 2012 with Ice Cream Sandwich

acer-iconia-tab-a700-tabletNot too long ago, Acer announced that they are going to port Android v4.0 ICS onto their Iconia Tab A200 tablet and now they have confirmed that this 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 powered tablet would be unveiled for the world to see during CES 2012 which is scheduled to happen in January, this year.

But that’s not all, according to a Russian site NoMobile, there is a big probability that the next generation of Iconia Tab i.e. Acer Iconia Tab A700 tablet would also be released during CES 2012.

Acer Iconia Tab A700 tablet would have a little better specs over A200 tablet, it would be powered by a 1 GHz Tegra 3 processor, 10.1-inch display screen, 1920 x 1200 display resolution, a dedicated rotation lock switch, a micro-HDMI port, microUSB port and a SIM card slot.

On the back, it would have a textured, nice looking design along with a 5-megapixel camera. It’s going to be weight 650 grams and would feature a battery life of 10 hours. Like Iconia Tab A200, it would be unveiled at CES 2012 with Android v4.0 ICS but this tablet might not hit stores until March.

The year 2011 has ended and 2012 has just begin, last year was dominated by tablets, especially tablets running on Android OS and I expect to see unique tabs with high quality specs and path-breaking features dominate the tablet market, not just in India, but across continents.
