The Next Big Thing in Personal Blogging is here

Is Quora the next big thing in Blogging?

Over past few years personal blogging has grown emphatically, we have switched from core blogging websites like Blogger and WordPress to micro blogging websites like Twitter. Is this the end of blogging, can there be nothing better and more sophisticated than that?

Well of course not, by the time a new social networking website takes roots in the cyber world, a new website is introduced which in some respects prove to be a much better alternative to the earlier model.

First there was blogger, people flooded because it was simple and a newbie would take it as the only thing available. Then WordPress became popular for personal blogging because of high optimization and support for business and economic blogging and now people post either on Facebook and Twitter.

The next big thing in Personal Blogging World

Hey, if you are thinking that Social Networking or Blogging 2.0 was the end. We have come to know about this new website Quora, it is a very interactive and problem solving social network. Since both Facebook and Twitter have become cheap, the quality has deteriorated over years, Quora is still fresh.

Quora enables an individual to post anything that is bugging him and there leave it there as a question for the rest of the network to solve. This is actually the true essence of having a social network.

Do you only share happiness or stupid Cityville achievements with your real life network, your friends and family? Don’t you share your worries and expect for a good solutions?

Call it a “social network” or blogging website for noble cause; after all if you can help someone with your intellectual property, what is better use of your IP.

Reasons why personal blogs don’t get much attention

Now I want to ask you something, do you do personal blogging? What do you write about? Unless you are Matt Cutts or Mark Zuckerberg or someone really famous celeb, it is very difficult to gain attention on the web.

I know there are many bloggers like Charlie McDonnell who have shaped their social network around their blogs but still personal blogging is source of time waste, unless you have mounds on traffic coming to rest on your pages and never leave.

I personally feel that one can indulge in personal blogging to the degree he does work and has free time and attitude to write. In my case, I have had seriously very little things in my life that is worth sharing about that is the reason why technology posts flow from my hand naturally.

What I like about Quora Blogging Website

quora-personal-blogging

  • Different approach towards building a social network
  • Clean and Simple layout
  • Made up for intellectual people and not for any other jerk trying to find some hot girls online
  • A better approach towards sharing experience, for me status like, “Oh! The hot chocolate fudge was yum” holds no significance
  • Terrific blogging environment
  • More than 140 character to write answer such that you don’t say, cool and Very good when one gets some award. Write something encouraging. You aren’t getting backlinks there. J  so quality matters and not quantitiy.

Some of the things that I want every blogger to learn is that post something on your personal blog if you think it really deserves a place in your life.

Don’t post nuisance, I myself have experience that when I am agitated or something, I tend to post negative blog posts which does more damage. You would not like your family and friends to read about you miseries etc.

Yahoo Answers is similar to Quora but since Quora new blogging media is new, we don’t really know how Quora blogging site would take shape in future.

BTW, like almost all successful ventures, this one is situated in Palo Alto too.  J  Some great coders live there I guess. LOL
