How to: Create Better Relationships with Customer using Twitter

Creating Better Relationships with Customers using Twitter

twitter-powerHi,

Today I am going to tell you something on using Twitter as an excellent business promotion tool so if you are running an online business, you will find this article very useful.

The tips mentioned in this article are not entirely mine. I have been reading several blogs recently and most of them were using twitter as a marketing tool and a way by which they connected with their customers.

Now, how many people write in to you asking queries about your product or services every month?

Let me tell you why I am asking you this question. I want you to realize yourself that no business can survive without a good number of people interested in that business.

So if you have a good amount of people asking you questions about your business, it means that your business has what it takes to succeed online.

Why you need to Interact with your Customers?

It is a very stupid question because everybody knows the answer to it. Every business stands tall and claims its place in the business world because of what?

A: People – Customers – Consumers

Therefore, it is very important that you have a good relationship with your customers.

Now coming back to the point, Twitter is a free service on the internet which wasn’t originally meant for this but can be effectively used to build relationship with existing customers and gain trust of new people visiting your profile.

Tips to Develop Good Business Relationships on Twitter

Give a Good First Impression

People can recognize your interest in your business within 5 seconds on twitter so it is important to grab their attention.

Get a very good twitter profile background and get some graphic designing done at the left hand sidebar that would reflect your product and service. You can add your logo, website URL or even something related to your product in the left hand sidebar of your twitter background image.

You can do it yourself using Photoshop or GIMP or ask some professional to do it for you.

Fill in the Information

Don’t leave your twitter profile blank. Fill in a good description and add a link to your business website. Add a relevant picture and not to forget take a nice username too, preferably with keywords.

Let’s say you own a web hosting company.

In that case you must put some good keywords in your twitter username because that would help targeted people to find you on twitter and it would be easy to create trending hash tag topics.

Take the correct path, Build Authority

You might not get too many followers in the beginning. Although there are many bots on twitter that will follow you to get followed but make sure you don’t follow that strategy as it might perjure your reputation and as you know it is the reputation of your brand that matters the most.

People buy the maximum number of hosting accounts from Hostgator because they have a reputation on the internet as the best web hosting providers so aim at becoming the best and never do anything, on twitter or on your business website that could harm your reputation.

Converse with people

Search for trending topic on twitter that are related to your business and start a conversation with people tweeting that topic.

It will take time but make sure your build your fellowship because that is important. If somebody gets interested in your product or service and asks you a question, don’t send him offers and “buy now” requests but talk with the customer and try to know what they think about your online business and what they want from you.

In that manner, you would be creating both brand authority and building potential customers.

Promote Twitter on Business Website

Keep updating your twitter account regularly with what’s going on with your online business and place a “follow me on twitter” logo on your website such that people can follow you and get your latest updates.

Customers don’t like sending contact us emails much so twitter is a very good alternative for asking questions. Solve their queries and if they would need any service like what you offer then they would be naturally directed towards you.

Tweet about something that they might like and engage a community. That’s my final point on, “How to effectively use Twitter for Business Promotion.”
