Hacking Facebook Accounts is a popular topic of discussion among people especially youth. Those heart-broken girls and pissed off guys are always in look-out to humiliate the other person in public and Facebook seems to be the most convenient option these days.
Yesterday, a very good friend of mine called me and asked whether I knew how to hack a Facebook account. I was not surprised because it was not the first time when someone had asked me that question. I questioned him back by asking him why he was asking me that and he replied that answer that I was very much expecting.
He said that one of his friends who apparently was a girl wanted to hack his ex or current boyfriend’s account. I almost knew that I had nothing to contribute in this mutiny between the two, so, I calmly replied that I seriously don’t know how to hack someone’s Facebook account.
Even if I had known how to hack, I wouldn’t have used my skill for such a small issue.
Now, you must be wondering whether hacking Facebook accounts is possible. Yes, Hacking Facebook accounts is possible and it is a little easier than traditional hacking that strictly comes under Cyber Crime (always keep in mind that intrusion into anyone’s individual space isn’t ethical and definitely not legal).
Also, hacking is not easy. Most good, secure website use SSL encryption, some use 128-bit encryption, some 256-bit, so stealing account information from Facebook’s server is impossible, don’t even try doing that, any newbie hacker – doing this for fun would most certainly end up in Jail.
As I said before, Hacking Facebook accounts is possible but hackers do it from the user end.
Before I start, let me make this very clear, I am not provoking you to use any of the techniques mentioned below, I am just trying to inform you that hackers use these techniques to get your personal details and password. Make sure you keep an eye on your Facebook Account more cautiously.
Let’s begin.
Facebook Phishing Attacks
It is the most convenient way to hack any account, not just Facebook. What hackers do is create a page that looks identical with the real Facebook login page with a minor change in the domain name like Facebo0k.com.
The guy who would spread a cool-looking cloaked link on the internet, when you’re going to click that link, you would be logged out of your Facebook Account with some error message and would be asked to login again. People who don’t read URLs much would enter their username and password in the space provided and hacker sitting on the other end would attain success in hacking one Facebook Account of a rookie internet user.
That cloaked link would re-direct you to the Facebook login page hosted on Facebo0k.com, sometimes we don’t notice the URL and that’s a really jackpot sort of thing for hackers.
For better understanding, assume hacker to be the fisherman, cloaked link to be the bait and yourself that stupid fish who got lured.
I would advice you to never click on suspicious links and (never)n enter your details on a page without looking at the URL.
Keylogger to Hack Passwords
This is another commonly used method to steal passwords. Keylogger is a program that stores all your internet activity including your login details.
A hacker can install this program on your system which is very unlikely unless one of your friends want to hack your Facebook account or he can make you dig your own grave.
Have you heard of free Software?
Believe it or not, most free software that are downloaded from Torrents of P2P websites are embedded with suspicious programs like Keylogger. If you have a good antivirus program installed on your PC then you shouldn’t worry because an antivirus program is designed to search these suspicious codes and let you know.
Two things to keep in mind is always use paid antivirus programs because the free ones on the internet that you have installed from P2P have infected your PC beyond repair and second, always keep your antivirus updated. Also, never install free copies of premium software, use Open Source instead, this would be good for you and better for the developers.
Stealing Facebook Cookie
A Cookie is nothing but a data file that a website stores on your computer with your IP address, username, password and other details. When you log on to that website again, the website checks the cookie and tally’s your current information with the information stored in the cookie. It lets website track an anomalous behavior and reports it to users.
For example,
Today when I logged into my Google Account, a message popped that said that my account had been accessed from an IP from US and advised me to change my password immediately. I clicked on change password button, not from the pop-up, but from my Google Account and changed the password to something more stronger and different from the one I had.
I think that was because Google had tracked the IP address from which I had accessed the account in the past.
Okay, hackers can install a Malware on your system, from the software and P2P methods I have mentioned above. These Malwares would sit silently on your computer and send those cookies to the hacker, he would decipher the cookie and get hold of your access roots, IP addresses and passwords
Most hackers can change their IP to your IP and then easily access your account without even notifying website’s server that something is wrong.
Isn’t that dangerous?
You can evade this situation by installing a good Internet Security tool on your system or just stay focused on using authentic tools on your PC.
Using the Mutual Friend
This is one mild way to spy on a person on Facebook, this doesn’t involve any hacking but still this stuff is unethical.
What a person (who may not be a hacker) can do is contact a mutual friend (who is a friend of that other person) and get his ID. By logging in to Facebook from that account, he can easily spy on that other person without alerting him, also he can chat with him to unlock his feeling/secrets.
This sure is unethical but not as dangerous as Cyber Bullying.
Cyber Bullying
On a more severe scale, some people, creeps is a better word for them, I can’t use that word but the true word for them is assh0les, use this technique for bullying kids online which is known as Cyber Bullying.
What they do is they create a Fake Facebook account with which they pretend to be a child and then send other kids friend request based on their likes. For example, they would send personal messages like, I am a huge fan of this cartoon as well, I think we’d be good friends, add me. Kids are very immature, they understand the good but don’t even know that bad exists in the world. They add that creep and now he can manipulate that child, the way he wants.
There is a sensible reason why most social networks have age limit and advises you not to add strange friends.

Like Knowing 3 mutual friends is enough to hack facebook account and
1 security question’s answer is enough to hack fb account are the two simplest methods hackers can apply.
