Honeycomb is a great operating system, hats off to Google, no doubt about it but is that enough for you to put your money on Toshiba Thrive Tablet PC. Yes, of course, the Tablet looks beautiful in terms of design and seems to have powerful hardware on the inside as well but i am not sure whether it could attract the target audience.

First of all, 10″ Tablet PCs are not that portable, so people who like to use Internet on a tablet on the go would prefer to go with the 7″ Samsung Galaxy Tab (read more) if not the over-sized Smartphone – 5″ Dell Streak (read more).

Toshiba Thrive has a cool name, well the guys at Toshiba are creative, no doubt about that and they have also added some funky colors to the device, since black is not the only color that gadgets can have, i appreciate this attempt of theirs. I like the blue one, which one do you like, white, pink or green? check the entire range of Toshiba Thrive Tablet PCs [here].

Stunning Range of Toshiba Thrive

As i told you earlier in this article, Toshiba Thrive a slim, 10″ Tablet PC that comes in various funky colors. Other than that, it has two cameras, one in the front for video chat, self-portrait and all that stuff you know your gadget has but seldom comes in use, the second cameras, a high resolution one is placed at the back for capturing HD videos and high-resolution, sharp quality pictures. Taking a 10″ Tablet PC with you for clicking pictures sounds absurd but if you like to click pictures that way, Toshiba Thrive supports your desire.

Powered by Android OS v3.1 (yes, the latest version)

Android OS v3.1 also known as Honeycomb is an operating system from Google that has been specially designed for Tablet PCs. It supports high resolution games and stuff that would be available to you via Google’s official app store i.e. Android Market. Currently, there are more than 200,000 apps on Android Market which has made every Tablet PC manufacturer to install Android.

Possibly, the reason behind many companies putting their hand into the Tablet world is because Android is a beloved operating system.

The Operating system on Toshiba Thrive is good, really good, it is optimized to give you the best of the hardware of your Tablet PC, you can run 720p videos and stream web flawlessly.

Entertainment on the go: The USP of tablets

Toshiba Thrive in Working Position

It has a 10.1″ display screen, definitely that is the stand size of a Tablet PC but if i get a chance to own it, i would not take it with me everywhere i go, i prefer laptops for that. Toshiba Thrive Tablet PC has this intelligent touchscreen display that adjust the brightness and contrast as per the lighting conditions where you are actually watching the videos.

Yesterday, I experience the latest version of Asphalt on Samsung Galaxy S and believe me, graphics of that game were superb, i mean Need for Speed: Shift on dedicated graphics and Asphalt on an Android device looked almost same. It would be great fun to play games on Toshiba Thrive because it comes with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 graphics processor embedded in it.

Amazing display screen quality lets you adjust the resolution of the videos and movies that you are watching on Toshiba Thrive Tablet PC, other than that it also embodies powerful stereo speakers that gives you powerful sound experience while watching movies. Most brands say that they have amazing sound quality but on most of them the sound is very low and really poor. I hope that is not the case with Thrive.

That’s almost everything that you are going to get if you buy Toshiba Thrive Tablet PC. Let’s check out the Tech Specs of Toshiba Thrive Tablet PC, after all you should know about the hardware as well, that’s what powers the device.
