Toshiba has just announced Z830 laptop in their Portege series. This beautiful laptop weighs 2.5 pounds (1.13 kilos) and is 0.63 inches thick. The build and design of this ultra slim laptop is enhanced by the magnesium frame. Portege Z830 is 20% lighter and 40% thinner that its elder brother R380.
I know the looks of Portege Z830 are deceptive, don’t consider it to be a powerless ultrathin laptop, it comes with an optional Core i7 processor, RAM upgradeable up to 6GB, powered by eight-cell 47Wh battery, along with backlit and spill-resistant keyboard. Portege Z830 also sports a brilliant 13.3 inches display screen that offers 1366 x 768 resolution.
3 USB ports, one v3.0 and two v2.0 can be found on its sleek body, which also serves as the charging port. Other than that, Portege Z830 laptop is also equipped with an Ethernet jack, HDMI and VGA output, Wi-Fi, optional Intel Wireless Display and an SD card slot.
Toshiba hasn’t confirmed the tech specs of its base model but has hinted that it would be priced under $1,000/- when it is launched in November this year.
