T-Mobile releases LG DoublePlay; a Smartphone just for Multi-Tasking

T-Mobile has released a quite unique (somewhat weird) cell phone manufactured by LG, it’s called DoublePlay. The phone features dual capacitive display screens which is slightly obnoxious because nobody has seen anything like this before. The two display screens can be used simultaneously for different purposes (thanks to 1GHz processor resting inside this beast).

As of now, LG has partnered only with T-Mobile to launch its 3.5-incher “one of a kind” cell phone into market. Also, LG Double Play has a split keyboard with the second 2-inch display screen resting within. Other features include a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 720p video recording support and Android v2.3 Gingerbread (Stock version).

The idea of having two displays for enhanced multi-tasking is very unique (weird) and it might be welcomed with mixed emotions when it enters into the Smartphone world. If you ask me, whether I am interested in buying this phone (ignoring it’s made by LG) after reading the specs and features, then my answer would be No, because I am not that desperate for multi-tasking and I left my Facebook addiction a long time back.

What’s your opinion about LG DoublePlay? Impressed? Shocked?

  1. This is going to be the latest thing in my inventory. i hope to get this phone soon. Well you might not like the double screen but it can be useful if you are watching a video or reading a mail and the sometime writing a message to someone else. I also left facebook addiction, but there are other things on internet to share.
