This year we have seen Smartphones growing bigger and smarter than ever before, Samsung Galaxy SII, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Samsung Galaxy Note and the list goes on.
But do you feel that this trend of large phones would lapse in the new year?
I don’t think that is ever going to happen. If we believe the rumors, Sony is working on a Super-phone called Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi which would have the best tech specs.
Display
If we believe the rumors, the phone would sport a large 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that would have a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and ~342 pixel-per-inch pixel density.
Memory & Connectivity
It seems the super-phone won’t come with expandable memory but with 16 GB or 32 GB internal memory like the iPhone 4S. It would have all the basic connectivity option including 3G, Wi-Fi, USB v3.0 etc.
Camera & Optics
Phones manufactured by Sony Ericsson have amazing cameras which are blessed by Sony’s CyberShot technology. Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi would probably be equipped with 12-megapixel camera with AF and LED Flash. Along with that, it would also have touch-focus, smile detection, 3D panorama sweep (this feature is also available in Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Arc S and Neo V) and the ability to capture Full HD 1080p videos at 30 fps.
Processing Unit & OS
Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi would sport a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and Adreno 220 GPU which certainly makes it one of the most powerful Smartphones on papers. Apparently, Sony Ericsson hasn’t discovered a way to load Android v4.0 ICS on the device because rumors suggest that this device would run on v2.3.5 Gingerbread.
There are a couple of interesting features like HTML5 support and Adobe Flash, which, as you might have guessed, would give you a stupendous web browsing experience on the device.
Gallery
On the whole Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi looks a great Smartphone on papers. This would probably be the first dual core Smartphone from Sony. Since most of previous Xperia Smartphones would be getting ICS next year it would interesting to see whether this could be Sony Ericsson’s Flagship ICS phone.
What you think about this super-phone?
