HP Printing goes on the cloud

printing on the cloud” and “HP

HP – World’s No. 1 Computer peripheral manufacturer has introduced a new service “printing on the cloud” which means that you can print from any device just by sending an email to printer.

How can this help? Well once you buy a traditional printer there is a lot of wiring that follows, sometimes it take hours to set, configure and start using the printer.

But with printing on the cloud offered by HP one can easily get important documents, pictures and everything else sent in the email.

The smart printer costs Rs.7,500 approx. but it’s services cope up fir this price. What I liked about the gadget is that it will make the printing process faster and simpler.

How it works?

Every HP printing on the cloud system comes with an email address which is unique for every system and is provided to the buyer.

When the buyer sends an email with documents, photos, presentation etc. the printer decodes everything and prints pages automatically.

** For this to work printer must be turned on or will it will print once it is turned on the next time automatically without delay.

Anti-Spam Policy

What if someone sends spam to the printer email address and wastes your ink and money?

Well, according to HP’s anti-spam policy for their printing on the cloud system, they have provided mail filters which would allow you to white list emails.

Mails received from that ID only will make printer software to initialize the process thus making it secure.

I feel that this would make the whole thing a lot quicker and easier. I mean you would not have to connect your multiple document devices on a single computer and then command print or use data storage devices to first share and then print.

In all, though it is not very cheap but worth the money definitely.
