Motorola Xoom Tablet PC Price and Release Date
Motorola Xoom was one of the high point at CES 2011. Out of nearly 80+ Tablet PCs Motorola Xoom stood out because it ran on Android OS 3.0 i.e. Honeycomb.
If we follow what Motorola is saying about Xoom, it is the first Tablet PC to have a User Interface specially optimized to support all the applications available on Android Market.
Motorola Xoom Price and Release Date Leaked!
Motorola Xoom Tablet PC has not been released in the market for sales but an ad from Best Buy suggests something else. The ad unveils that the product would be ready to selling on February 28 for $800 on their network.
The ad also told everything about the data plan which would come bundled with Motorola Xoom Tablet PC. You would have to pay $20 per month for 1GB date transfer, $35, $50 and $80 for 3GB, 5GB and 10GB respectively.
There was nothing about support for 4G Network but I think a firmware upgrade would serve the purpose.
No Data Plan = No Wi-Fi Support
Motorola Xoom Tablet PC has made a good deal with Verizon which suggests that users would not be able to access internet on it unless they purchase a data plan of at least 1 month contract.
It is a kewl strategy to increase data plan sales for Verizon. Verizon recently added the CDMA version of Apple iPhone 4 into their inventory now they are planning to serve Motorola Consumers too.
Best Buy is also selling a ‘Xoom Custom Fit Folio’ with all new Motorola Xoom Tablet PCs for an additional $40.
