Motorola has announced a new version of the Xoom tablet, it’s called Motorola XOOM Family Edition. It is called so because it is designed in a way that it can be used by all the members of family from working mum and dad to fun loving kids. It is embedded with kid-friendly apps and games as well as security features that will assist parents keep “non-friendly” content from the eyes of their kids.
On the inside, this Xoom is similar to the one that we observed last year, it has a 10.1 inch display, a dual-core processor, 16GB of internal storage, 5-megapixel rear camera with 720p HD video support etc.. Motorola XOOM Family Edition would be launched on October 16th at a price of $380 (this is not a bad price for such a wonderful tablet).
On the announcement of Motorola Xoom Family Edition Jim Hamilton, corporate vice president, global retail & distribution, Motorola Mobility said,
“Nowadays, everyone from mom, dad to the youngest child use the same tablet device. We set out to design a device that’s kid and family-friendly yet versatile enough to handle your business needs,”
