Both Smartphones look pretty much similar to each other in terms of effective technical specs which would create confusion for the consumer esp. for the one who is looking to upgrade his contract.

Let’s compare both phones’ specs and try to figure which one is more favorable.

Motorola DROID RAZR vs. HTC Rezound

Operating System: HTC Rezound runs HTC Sense 3.5 user interface on top of Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread while Motorola DROID RAZR runs MOTOBLUR user interface on top of Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. Both are capable of upgrading to Google’s latest version of Android – Ice Cream Sandwich.

Processing Unit: HTC Rezound is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor whereas Motorola DROID RAZR is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor. With a little powerful processor, HTC Rezound would be able to load apps and play heavy files a little fast than Motorola DROID RAZR.

Display: HTC Rezound has a brilliant 4.3 inch Super LCD HD display at 1280×720 pixel resolution while Motorola DROID RAZR also sports a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD display at 960×540 resolution. It would be great if resolution on HTC Rezound is optimized to fit the screen well or else HTC would have created a blunder.

Camera: Both HTC Rezound and Motorola DROID RAZR have 8-megapixel camera sensor with LED flash and record Full HD videos at 1080p resolution. Since both run Android, you would be able to share your clicked pictures with your friends on Facebook, Twitter and Friendster in Real-time. For Skype and video conferencing, Rezound has 2-megapixel camera whereas DROID RAZR has a pretty decent 1.3-megapixel camera.

Connectivity Options: It’s obvious that both phones would have GPRS, EDGE, 3G and Wi-Fi but since these are Verizon’s exclusive 4G LTE handsets, you’d be able to enjoy internet at a blazing fast speed of up to 22 Mbps.

Memory: Both have 16 GB of internal storage, microSD expansion slot (up to 32 GB) and 1 GB of RAM.

Miscellaneous: Motorola DROID RAZR has very sleek profile; it is much thinner than HTC Rezound and weighs a lot less too. DROID RAZR has a little powerful battery and it would give a better battery backup as compared HTC Rezound because of its efficient power consumption.

I think Motorola DROID RAZR would be a better choice among these two. What’s your opinion about this?
