i-Tel India launched World’s first Islamic Phone i786 (the holy number of Allah). The phone has been customized properly for Muslims living around the globe, it has custom Muslim Calendar , 5 times prayer timing and Qibla directions and Muslim Wallpapers.
The i786 mobile phone has 2.2 inch TFT QICF display screen, 1.3MP camera, 128MB+32MB internal memory, dual SIM, integrated MP3 and MP4 player and one year warranty with three month replacement service. i-Tel has taken permission from biggest mosque and leading Islamic scholars in India and Dubai to sell this mobile phone to Muslim Community. i-Tel would donate 2.5% Zakat on every sale towards poor and needy. The phone comes at a price of Rs. 2,400 without and Rs. 2,650 with microSD memory card.
I think its pretty nice phone with good features in budget price…but never heard of company i-Tel.
The phone is targeted for Muslim Community and I think this would attract them, let’s over a Nokia phone that costs a little less or more. I am not sure whether it is going to make a name for itself in the market but I would say good job done by i-Tel Group.
