CES 2012 Highlights: Intel Atom Z2460 powered Android Smartphone – Lenovo K800

lenovo-k800-android-smartphoneLenovo, a brand which is normally associated with computers & tablets, revealed several new Android Smartphones at CES 2012. One of them was Lenovo K800, which had a sleek build to flaunt on the outside and superb hardware configuration stacked neatly inside that amazing build.

Lenovo K800, unlike several other Android Smartphones launched at CES 2012, runs on the exclusive single-core Atom Z2460 chip developed by Intel. In fact, Lenovo K800 is the first Android Smartphone that runs on this processor.

Other features include a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that offers 720p resolution, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p Full HD video recording support, a front facing camera for Skype & video chat and runs on Android v2.3 Gingerbread.

One of the key highlights of CES 2012 were Ice Cream Sandwich powered Tablets and Smartphones. Although, Lenovo K800 doesn’t support ICS yet, it might get an update once it is launched in Chinese markets during Q2 2012.

If you’re impressed by features of Lenovo K800 and want to know when it would be launched internationally then you’d have to wait for the second half of 2012. On the whole, Lenovo K800 offers pretty decent specs, two factors that would determine whether this phone becomes a hit or flop in India is value for money quotient and battery life.
