HP Folio 13 Ultrathin Laptop – MacBook Clone?
HP introduced today a new laptop which has the potential to give Apple MacBook Air a tough competition because in looks, it is a stunner. HP Folio 13 ultrathin laptop offers world-class entertainment & business-class security packed in a metallic, unibody chassis.
HP Folio 13 ultrathin laptop comes with Intel’s Rapid Start Technology that would significantly reduce the boot-up time. For a snappier experience, HP has also put in a 128 GB of SSD (solid state drive) storage which reduces the time taken by the system in loading heavy applications. It is powered by Intel’s Second Generation of Core Processors (Sandy Bridge) (configurable).
HP Folio 13 ultrathin laptop offers a 13.3-inch BrightView HD display that can play videos in Full HD. It weighs a mere 3.3 pounds (1.5 kilogram) and is an unbelievable, 18mm thin. If you ask me, the most important feature you look for in an ultrathin laptop is the battery life and HP Folio 13 ultrathin laptop offers a massive battery life of 9 hours which I think is enough to get you through the day.
HP has put in backlit-keyboard on HP Folio 13 ultrathin laptop so as to give you a nice work experience even when you are working at night or in low-light areas (let’s say, in a conference room). For fast data transfer, Folio 13 has USB 3.0; it might not transfer data like Thunderbolt I/O port on Apple MacBook Air but still is way quicker than USB 2.0. By the way, if you want to connect your mouse, keyboard, printer etc. with your HP Folio 13 ultrathin laptop, you can do that by using HP’s USB 2.0 Dock.
The laptop has TPM embedded security chip that protects an intruder from checking your stored data or emails. It is a very important feature to have in a laptop if you’re storing confidential data on your system.
HP Folio 13 ultrathin laptop has Dolby Advanced Audio which I feel is a bit of disappointment. I recently bought HP Pavilion dm1z laptop and it has Beats Audio which far better than Dolby. Other than that, HP TrueVision Webcam and HP Imagepad (touch pad that support multi-gestures) are pretty nice.

HP Folio 13 ultrathin laptop would be launched for sale on or after 7th of December at a starting price of $899.99 which I feel is pretty reasonable for such a beautiful laptop. HP is also offering a 3-year extended warranty (have to be purchase additionally) and variety of Windows 7 OS system with the laptop.
