Songs.pk – The ultimate source of pirated Hindi music hacked by Indian Hackers
The recent Mumbai attack on July 13 was a tragic event, several hundred people lost their lives and thousands were injured, while the govt. is saying, “We can’t stop all the terror attacks in the country,” a few have the balls to stand up and do something.
A group of Indian hackers brought down one of the most popular Hindi pirated music website i.e. Songs.pk, it was clearly mentioned of the website that the site has been hacked because of the Mumbai attacks.
I personally feel that Mumbai attacks was a very tragic event, I am a bit annoyed with the govt. of my country, they are protecting terrorists like Ajmal Amir Kasab and not the people of India. One of my senior, posted on a status update on Facebook that truly made sense:-
To ,
The Prime MinisterI don’t ask u 2 hang Ajmal kasab n Ajfal Guru.
I just request the Govt 2 protect us in the same way as u have protected them …..
An investigation revealed that terrorist who plotted these bomb blasts were operating from Pakistan, that was enough for the Indian hacker group – ‘Indian Cyber Army’ to begin forming a payback statement.
Since, about 80% of traffic to songs.pk came from India, they decided to bring the number to zero. They got access to songs.pk FTP and posted this message:-
Pray for all the innocent victims of Mumbai attack .This is a small answer from All Indians. Remember we are together, you can just kill innocent people, women and children..But there is no future for you, we are coming with huge speed. Corruption will be under control, every Indian will have money and power. Then there will be no one to save you, you are a dirty stamp on pure Islam. Try to understand and respect it, just remember we are coming.Bye.Exit
I know it was a little childish thing to do but the cyber war between the countries is not new, it has been raging like wildfire to different parts of the country. There have been instance when Pakistani hackers have hacked Indian websites and vice-versa. I am not sure when this is going to end, maybe never, because no one wants to take a step back and even if we do take a step back, they won’t.
Update (17/7/2011) – The site is backed up now, it’s live!
I would suggest that our hackers should build encryption and protection techniques to safeguard our websites first, that would be a much constructive approach, what do you guys think?
