Controller Less Gaming with Microsoft Kinect

Microsoft Corp. India released their controller-gaming module for Xbox 360 that would change the way people think about Gaming. I was invited as Editor-in-Chief for Wizard Journal at its launch and the experience was fantastic.

Microsoft Kinect launch in India, although is quite late from the same in other countries like The United States and Britain but still it is something that is a revolution in the world of Gaming. If you like adventurous games but have little interest in passive-controller operated video games then Kinect is something that you should try.

Race cars, go on an adventurous journey through forests, dance till your knees can bear, beat your friends in their favorite sports and do whatever you can imagine using no controller but you whole body.

Microsoft Kinect Features at a glance

Full Body Gaming:

Controller-free Gaming, use your complete body to control the characters and play. Kinect responds to your body movement flawlessly and modifies character in the game-play to do the same.

It’s all about ‘You’:

There is nothing else other than your own body which you can control the game with. So flex your muscles, your hands, head, lead and waist to shake-it up.

Something for everyone:

Never invited your mum or dad to play video games with you, then with Microsoft Kinect launch in India, there would be a lot of indulgence of parents in gaming because there is something for everyone. You may play a game of Ping-Pong with your mum or get your dad to race a car with you.

With Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360 – the old cynical term “passive-mode” associated with gaming would transform to active, energizes and a lot of fun. I don’t think there would be any mother or father who won’t like their child to work-out, be happy and stay in shape while doing what he likes.

There are many titles available for Kinect for Xbox 360 from Microsoft Game Studios including – Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, Kinect JoyRide and lots more.

Actually, these games are very interactive and fun to play.

In Short Simple Words, “Kinect is not just another Gaming addon, it’s Revolution.”

An executive for Microsoft Kinect said, “There are 4 units of Xbox Video Game developers and all of them are working on developing games only for Kinect. See, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 Game is round the cornet which will surely surprise all the Gaming Geeks.”

I had to agree with it because Microsoft Kinect for Xbox is truly – Wonderful.
