Fiber-to-the-home Ultrafast Internet at Unbelievable Prices from Sonic.net
Sonic.net, a California based ISP has been known for providing high speed internet at cheap prices and now it seems that they have decided to expand their horizon by becoming the premier ultrafast internet service provider.
Sonic.net is testing out a new fiber-to-the-home service in 700 households that would cost them $69.95 per month and would provide them internet access at a blazing 1Gbps speed bundled with two phone lines and unlimited long distance calling.
Fact: Light travels faster than analog signals therefore data sent via Fiber Optics would travel much faster than our regular internet which operates on analog signal
Superfast internet from Sonic.net costs much less than regular internet available in market. Comcast’s “Extreme” 105Mbps plan costs $100 a month while 100Mbps plan from Sonic.net costs just $39.95 along with a phone line and unlimited calls.
Sonic.net has started out small in Sebastopol spanning 700 households. If everything goes according to what Sonic.net desires, this project might cover several other areas of United States in coming few years, San Francisco and Santa Rosa being the prime being the first preference.
If you unsure about the credibility and credentials of Sonic.net then it would be interesting for you to know that Google has chosen Sonic.net ISP to manage its gigabit fiber network at Stanford University. I think this says a lot about Sonic.net ISP, right?
Do you have any question about this project or about Sonic.net?
