Handwriting Recognition Android App for Tablet PCs
The World of Tablet PCs is not limited to any particular company’s imagination and that is the reason why we are seeing so many Tablets emerging every 6 months.
Since the arrival of capacitive touch screen in Portable Computers, the use of a stylus has dropped rapidly since no one needs it anymore. Today’s Touch screen Phones and Tablets are quite receptive to user’s touch so do you think that stylus is dead?
No, of course not!
Well the reason why I am sharing this stuff with you is because a software company N-Trig has come up with some Android Applications that recognizes your handwriting on Android Tablet PCs.
The screen and pen technology has currently been made available only for HTC’s Flyer but it would soon be released for many convertible Tablet PCs.
So if you use Adobe Journal or similar other apps on your Portable Computers, you might find this tiny little extension for Android quite interesting since with this you can write your diary in your handwriting and personal notes too.
VP of N-Trig suggested that there are many Tablet PCs with Stylus launching soon and that’s why they are trying to build apps for them after all customer satisfaction is something for which each company’s designs its strategies.
I don’t think I would need a handwriting recognition tool ever but there are some people who might want to use this for signing documents online or some other stuff like writing a diary as mentioned above.
The possibilities in any new technology are unlimited it is just our imagination that decides the end point. The technology is not official at the moment so we would just have wait and let the screen and pen get available on Android Marketplace.
An Insider Story: I had personally thought of this technology several years from today and voiced my thoughts to my elder brother who is an Electronics Engineer and he said, it ain’t worth it and now this company has launched this touchscreen technology and no doubt it would make solid revenue or die.
Do you think this is the future of touch screen technology? Would this be able to improve present touch screen experience of Tablet PCs?
