Apple seems to be recovering well from the unexpected low numbers it revealed in the third quarter, all because of iPhone 4S which it launched on 6th of October. According to Canaccord Genuity’s checks, iPhone 4S was the hottest selling Smartphone at all its carriers viz. Verizon Wireless, AT&T and Sprint in the month of October and what amazes me the most is the iPhone 4S was available for just 2 weeks after its launch.
iPhone 4S’ predecessor is also contributing significantly to improve Apple’s numbers and has secured a spot in the top 3 most sold Smartphones in United States.
“Our October checks indicated the iPhone 4S was the top selling model at AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon with the iPhone 4, now $100, a top 3 selling model at each of those channels,” Canaccord analyst Mike Walkley suggested via his research note published on Friday.
Mike also said that Apple will have record breaking sales in United States during the month of December. Mike had predicted some numbers for Apple at the beginning of this year which he changed after this success. He increased his iPhone sales estimate to 29 million units from 27 million units and Apple stock price from $545 to $560.
Without a doubt, iPhone 4S has gained a massive response from people, media may not have covered people toppling over each to grab a piece but these numbers do indicate that something like that must have happened.
