The updates launched for Android OS 3.1 have now been made available for people owning a Honeycomb Tablet PC e.g. Motorola Xoom 3G, Samsung Galaxy Tab etc.

Some of the major changes in the latest updates of Android OS 3.1 include better HTML5 support, faster performance, and USB host functionality for connecting game controllers and mice to the Tablet PC. But that is not all; updates which are most relevant for the users belong to the user-friendly interface in Honeycomb Tablet PCs.

The latest updates enables users to resize their widgets, which means that if you want your widget to take make major portion of your display screen, you can just expand it with finger gesture point outwards and vice-versa. This feature is not available for all the widget right now but limited to email and Gmail inbox, calendar and bookmarks widgets.

Also, you would be able to view a complete list of 18 apps which you opened last on your Tablet PC and not just “recent five.”

Android Market now offers much more than just free and paid application, you can also rent videos and movies from Android Market for a price that ranges from $1.99 to $4.99 for 24 hours of premium content.

It would be great to watch all the premium television shows like Friends, How I Met Your Mother and Dexter on Android Tablet PC now.

These are some of the minor updates made available for Honeycomb Tablet PCs, it is certain that Google is working very hard on improving the user-interface which would be seen sometimes in the future. I can’t wait to see the updates rolling in.
