Recently it came to my knowledge that Apple has overtaken Nokia to become the “biggest producer of Smartphone in the world”, Apple is the biggest Smartphone Manufacturer in US too but is pick of only 28% of the Smartphone users (which is a fabulous achievement, Apple is addicted to all this).

Apple iPhone is one of the most sought after phone not just in America, but all over the world, Android with support from Smartphone makers like HTC, Motorola and Samsung has reserved a big chunk of US Smartphone Users’ pie for itself.

RIM, known for BlackBerry and dedicated business mobile phones have hold onto 20% of Smartphone market share, followed by Windows Phone 7 with 9%. Palm webOS and Symbian both rest at the bottom with 2% each (Palm webOS is quite new and Symbian is quite old, so this does make sense).

This research was conducted with a user base of around 20,000 people but still it indicates the popularity of Android Smartphone in America.
